How to Network
For Those Who Don't Life To
One of the most successful methods for finding a job is to network. Too many job seekers though are reluctant to network even though the reward is great. The most common reasons job seekers give for not networking is they are not comfortable approaching strangers, they don’t know how to do it, or they are doing it wrong and it hasn’t yielded the results they hoped for.
These resources will help even the most introvert of us know how to network effectively. Coach Judi Adams is an introvert. In her job search in 2002, she knew that going to meetings just to hang with people she already knew (most of them unemployed) was not helping her land the job. She still doesn’t love to network but using these resources has learned to successfully navigate rooms of strangers, to grow and deepen her network of contacts. You can too!
